About Skye Bragg Designs

'My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature, the texture of a red gum, the ripples in the sand, the form of a gumnut or seedpod.'

Textures play a large part in my work. I don't necessarily plan a finished piece; it evolves as I'm making it, making many of my pieces unique.

I have always had a love of nature and outdoor life and it inspires me to create jewellery as art. Living on the Darling River gives me endless inspiration.

I am forever foraging, collecting leaves, bark and pods, taking photographs of our landscape and majestic river red gums which I later transform an image or an object into a wearable piece of art.

I completed a silversmithing course at Sturt Gallery while at school before developing my skills attending courses in forging metal, multifunctional techniques, texturing metals, gemstone setting and organic casting. My studio is located on a large sheep property near Bourke in Western NSW where I have transformed the old shearers quarters into a working studio.

A visit to my studio is open by appointment only. Contact me to arrange a time to see my unique working environment.
